Who I Am

I am an educator, researcher, and Cognitive-Behavioural Therapist with over 15 years of experience in educational leadership, teacher development, institutional consultancy, and scientific research.

My work is dedicated to transforming the way we teach, learn, and lead by integrating Emotional Intelligence and human development into educational and organisational environments. I operate at the intersection of education, emotions, learning, and human potential, combining scientific rigour, practical expertise, and a deeply human-centred perspective.

Throughout my career, I have worked with educators, institutions, and communities to promote more conscious, compassionate, and effective approaches to teaching and leadership.

I believe that education is not only about knowledge — it is about transformation. Teaching is a profoundly emotional act, and the most meaningful change begins within ourselves.

My Story

I was born in Maputo and began my educational journey in Mozambique during the post-independence period. Growing up in this context allowed me to witness firsthand the evolution of our education system and the profound transformations it has undergone over the years. My academic path unfolded within a reality marked by structural challenges, continuous reforms, and constant adaptation in the ways we teach and learn.

My personal experience as a student played a decisive role in shaping the path I chose. From an early age, I felt that I did not learn in the same way as many of my peers. At different moments, this difference was interpreted as a limitation or something negative. For me, studying often became a demanding and sometimes frustrating process — not because I lacked curiosity or motivation, but because the learning environment was not always aligned with my cognitive and emotional needs.

In every project I undertake, my focus is always on people and on their process of human transformation. I believe that every individual’s journey deserves to be respected and valued, because each person is unique and grows at their own rhythm.

Cognitive Behavioural Therapy

I work with individuals who wish to better understand their patterns of thinking, emotions, and behaviours, and to develop healthier strategies for navigating the challenges of personal, academic, and professional life.
